Meet the Founders

We’re the Offbeat crew — a Vermont family of four (plus one very fluffy dog) with big appetites, wild imaginations, and absolutely no time for boring meals.

With 14 years leading product development at Ben & Jerry’s, flavor creativity runs deep in our DNA. At home, we’d load our oatmeal bowls with everything from fresh avocado and fried eggs to sautéed veggies and spicy toppings — and yeah, they were amazing.

But they were also slow. And we’re not always home.

We needed something fast and just as flavorful — something we could throw in a backpack, eat at our desks, or pack for weekend hikes. So we got to work.

Offbeat Oats was born to rebel against the sad spoonfuls of oatmeal past. We packed our blends with freeze-dried fruits and veggies, real grains, and bold, unexpected spices that wake up your taste buds. We source locally whenever we can, and design everything to be ready in minutes — just add hot water, stir, and go.

Every bowl is an invitation to wander, to eat boldly like you mean it. Because flavor should never be an afterthought. And oats? They should be a little wild too.

And yes — our dog is technically the fifth member of the team. But she’s only allowed in the kitchen if she wears a hairnet
